National Millwork was founded
by Otto T. Nonnenmann and Michael A. Bosco in 1998. They set up a state-of-the-art
door shop in Riviera Beach, Florida, located strategically
 to service South Florida and
 take advantage of the economical freight costs heading
North to the rest of the State, Southeastern States and Southwestern States.
Otto Nonnenmann’s background was managing businesses, both domestically and internationally,
for multi-national and mid-size companies. Michael Bosco had extensive experience
in the construction industry and had managed the South Florida door and hardware
division of a national company.
Their vision was to build a full service door, hardware and millwork company, which
would be both supplier and subcontractor to the construction industry. National
Millwork installs all of the material it supplies so that builders no longer have
to find the labor for this scope of work. Initially the Company focused on developers
and builders of multi-family rental apartment projects in Florida.
In 1999 National Millwork was licensed by Warnock Hersey to produce and machine
fire rated doors. By 2000 the Company was working on numerous projects throughout
the Southeastern United States. Also in 2000, National Millwork expanded to high-rise
construction of condominium, rental and office towers. In 2005 the Company opened
a full service hollow metal operation to better service its customers and to enable
it to diversify into more commercial construction.
Most recently National Millwork created a single-family home division after a void
was created in the South Florida market when vendor to that market succumbed to
the economic woes impacting the housing market. The Company today is providing doors,
hardware and moldings, as always with installation, to some of the largest single-family
builders in the Southeast.
Anticipating future construction trends, National Millwork has gone “Green”. National
Millwork is able to supply and install doors and material for “LEED”
and other “Green” projects from our Florida plant.
Today, high-rise projects represent a significant percentage of the Company’s business,
and consistent with the original vision we continue to supply and install all of
the material included in our scope of work. Included in the projects completed are
some very upscale residential towers with units costing multiple million dollars.
Office buildings, mixed use projects, hospitality projects, single-family residential
construction, student housing, health-care and patient care and educational facilities
are now a core part of the business.
